Australian street racer Rob Stannard has been suspended for an anti-doping violation and can miss the world biking championships in Glasgow, it was revealed Thursday.
The Alpecin–Deceuninck group rider stated the allegation stemmed from greater than 4 years in the past, and denied doing something improper.
“I’ve been notified by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) that it considers that I dedicated an Anti-Doping Rule Violation greater than 4 years in the past,” he stated in an announcement issued by his administration.
